After qualifying as an RVN in 1999, I went on to gain a City & Guilds Nursing Exotic Species Certificate in 2002, and a Diploma in Companion Animal Bereavement Counselling in 2006. In 2013, I was honoured to win the Pet Plan Awards ‘Vet Nurse of the Year’.
Having worked with many teams over the years, I have particularly enjoyed my time in referral orthopaedics, neurology and emergency out of hours care. After almost 30 years, I still love the work I do and enjoy all aspects of being a nurse, however, my current favourites are anaesthesia and consulting.
I joined the Lawrie’s team as Head Nurse in 2019 and thoroughly enjoy leading the team and getting the opportunity to treat such a varied caseload of pets.
I am the proud owner of Jenny, a black Labrador, who you will see chilling behind reception. I also own a rescue rabbit called Koda.
In my spare time, I enjoy craft projects and have my own shop on Etsy.
